Nvidia releases new UEFI firmware for its latest GPUs, GeForce RTX 4080 and GeForce RTX 4090. Users have reported black screens before rebooting with these cards. NVIDIA has recognised the problem and released an update that fixes it. So far, no other defective graphics card reports have been filed.
