Commentary
To help combat spam, we collect visitors’ IP addresses and browser user agents when they leave comments on the site.
Gravatar uses an anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) to detect whether you are using it. You are able to display your profile picture in the context of your comment once it has been approved.
In the media
Uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) to the website is not recommended. Using the website’s images, visitors can download and extract location information.
A cookie
Your name, email address, and website may be saved if you leave a comment on our site. The purpose of these fields is to save you from having to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. A year will pass before these cookies expire.
To determine whether your browser accepts cookies, we set a temporary cookie if you visit our login page. If you close your browser, this cookie will be discarded. It does not contain any personal information.
When you log in, several cookies will be set up to save your login information and your screen display preferences. The personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided, can be exported by requesting an exported file if you have an account on this site or have left comments. Additionally, you have the right to request that any personal data we hold about you be erased. In this category are not included any data we are legally or administratively obligated to keep.
