AMD Ryzen 7000 processors were released a few months ago, and it has been a while since then. In spite of the fact that they offer significantly better performance in games and programs, their price is significantly higher. It is mainly due to the fact that you will need a motherboard for the AM5 platform as well as DDR5 RAM, which will increase the cost of the system.Â
It is however important to note that there are newer, cheaper models of AMD Ryzen 7000, such as the Ryzen 7600, and that SiSoftware has confirmed that the Ryzen 7600 is more powerful than the Ryzen 7000.Â
Why the new generation of processors isn’t selling well
There has been a decline in sales of the new generation processors. The Core 13 from Intel and the Zen 4 from AMD haven’t reached acceptable sales levels yet. The AMD Ryzen 5000 is still the most popular processor in stores like Amazon, based on the sales data from these stores.Â
Because Ryzen 7000 with Zen 4 processors are so rarely sold, a lot of stores don’t even make the top 10 when it comes to selling them. The Core 13 processor from Intel has outperformed the Ryzen 7000 in terms of sales, but not for long.Â
Although Zen 4 CPUs have pretty competitive performance, it’s the price that holds them back from becoming a success – especially since they’ve changed their platform. At a frequency of 3.8 GHz, AMD Ryzen 5 7600 shows its performance when compared to its predecessor, AMD Ryzen 5 7500.
It was only a few weeks ago when we talked about some future models of AMD’s Ryzen 7000 processors that would be coming soon.
The Ryzen 7600: A Look at Its Performance in SiSoftware
Ryzen 7700X, 7600, and 7300X are also available, designed to cover a lot of the gaming market at a more affordable price point. In SiSoftware, we have seen the appearance of the Ryzen 7600 as one of these chips.Â
It is worth mentioning that this would be a version with lower frequencies than the Ryzen 7600X, and, therefore, a cheaper price, which is always of interest to us. As a result, let’s take a look at the Ryzen 5 7600 performance data in SiSoftware in order to find out how it performs.Â
This corresponds with the two values above, where we can see a score of 259.72 GOPS in the Arithmetic Benchmark, and a score of 1,084.75 Mpix/s in the Multimedia Benchmark, corresponding to the two values above. It is surprising to find
